‘Everyone Has A Story 2’ is the sequel to the debut novel of Savi Sharma ‘Everyone Has A Story’. The book just like its prequel continues to lace around four main characters Meera, Vivaan, Kabir, and Nisha. But in this book, Savi has tried to personify fate by giving it its own voice and thus making it the fifth main character of the novel.
The book is woven around the ideas of friendship, joy, hope, love, sorrows, challenges, optimism, dreams, failures, perseverance, patience, and companionship. In the book, fate tests all the other four characters from time to time. Through this book, the author wants us to know that fate is the best friend and worst enemy one can ever ask for. And both these phases of fate are completely inevitable and help you to grow as a person. Even if you have not read the first book, the author gives a brief of happenings in the past as well as in the present in each character’s life which will enable the readers to have a better understanding of the story.
When I compare Everyone Has a Story 2 to its prequel, one thing that certainly strikes me is the betterment in terms of plot, characters, and writing. The writing has surely matured a lot and looks polished. Characters seem more relatable and have a certain depth about them. The plot is better than that of last time. It has some much-desired twists which break the monotony. The language is poetic and beautiful.
Overall, the book is an easy read and will appeal to those who enjoy light reads that can be done in a day or two. The book is probably an ideal read for people who are fond of motivational stories sprinkled with a good dose of romance and emotions.
