Although the book has four main characters Meera, Vivaan, Kabir and Nisha; the story basically revolves around Meera. Meera, an HR Manager and an aspiring writer who is in search of her story. In that search she met Kabir, Vivaan and Nisha. The story then scales up around their friendship and love.

Meera used to visit the cafe, Coffee & Us every weekend in search of her story, where she met Kabir, the manager of that cafe. Meera and Kabir became good friends in no time. On one odd day, during the authors’ meet at the cafe she came across Vivaan, a young and successful banker who has a secret desire to travel the world.

Meera found her story in Vivaan. Soon they fell in love with each other but one day Vivaan secretly escaped and decided to travel the world. This left Meera heartbroken with her incomplete story. Kabir and his wife Nisha tried to pacify her but all went in vain. Somehow, she gathered the strength and courage to complete her story, and started writing again.

While Vivaan was traveling the world and was living the life he always dreamt of, he realized that something was still missing and he was not having the peace of mind. That moment, he realized that he was in love with Meera and did wrong to her. He decided to go back to India to meet Meera and his friends, Kabir and Nisha.

Upon meeting Meera, Vivaan shared his past with her. He told her how his bride got raped and murdered on their weeding day and this is what is holding him back from showering his love on Meera. Listening to this, Meera felt a zillions of emotions and later met with an accident. Meera was in ICU for months and during this time, Vivaan realized that his bride’s death wasn’t a curse, rather he was given another opportunity to love.

Finally, two years after the accident, Meera published her first book ‘Everyone Has A Story’ which became a big hit.
